How the boards work
Every daily crossword has its own leaderboard: Mini, Big Mini, Quick, Classic, Daily and Jumbo. Each one keeps a daily board for today's puzzle and a weekly board that runs from Monday to Sunday.
To get on a board, sign in and solve the day's crossword in Compete mode. A finished grid is added to the board automatically. Practice solves are never ranked, and only a complete grid counts.
The fastest time comes first. If two players finish in the same time, the one with fewer wrong answers is placed higher, and if those match as well they share the place. On the weekly board each player is ranked on their best time of the week, and the Best column shows the day it was set. Each board shows the top 100.
A board follows its crossword's own day. Quick, Classic and Jumbo turn over at midnight in London; Mini, Big Mini and Daily turn over at midnight in New York.
