When you create an account via Google or Apple Sign-In, we receive your email address and display name. We store your game progress, scores, and leaderboard entries in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted on AWS in the EU (eu-west-2).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to authenticate your account, save your game progress, display leaderboards, and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (AWS infrastructure, eu-west-2 region). Game progress is cached locally in your browser using localStorage.

4. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at enquiries@rhubarbpress.com.

5. Advertising & Cookies

Crossword Capital is free to play, supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display advertisements to players on the free tier. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies (including the Google advertising cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu (UK/EU).
• For visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, we request your consent for the use of advertising cookies before they are set, in line with UK GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.

We also store your game progress locally in your browser using localStorage (see section 3). You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
